Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that “if BJP is not there, Miyas will start from Dispur and take the whole Assam.” He also called Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi “the biggest supporter of Miyas” and warned that “those who curse BJP will themselves repent.” The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing reporters in one of his sharpest political statements in recent times.
During his media interaction, Sarma launched a strong attack on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi and his family, alleging that they were “working like agents of Pakistan’s ISI.” The Chief Minister claimed that Gogoi and his family have a “soft corner” for Pakistan and avoid speaking strongly against terrorism.
“Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi is a Pakistani ISI agent. His wife is a complete agent, and he is a lesser one — and we have evidence to prove the same,” Sarma said. “As the Chief Minister of Assam, I want to say that Gaurav Gogoi is with Pakistan, and his entire family is working like Pakistani ISI agents. Hence, he cannot criticise the Pakistani government,” he added. 
Sarma went on to allege that Gogoi does not immediately condemn terror incidents in India. “Whenever any incident happens in India, Gaurav does not condemn it immediately. Toward the end of the day, he issues a mild statement which means that in the meantime, he takes permission from Pakistan,” he claimed.
The Chief Minister also referred to Gogoi’s social media activity, saying, “If you look at his first Facebook post on the Delhi blast, there is no condemnation only sympathy. He doesn’t even have the courage to speak against terrorism.”
