Pawan Kalyan’s action entertainer OG continues to dominate the box office, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. The film, co-starring Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu debut, has now collected an estimated ₹265 crore worldwide within the first five days of its release.

Directed by Sujeeth, OG tells the story of Ojas Gambheera, a former gangster played by Pawan Kalyan, who returns to Mumbai to challenge the growing influence of a new don named Omi, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi. The film also features Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. Critics have praised Pawan Kalyan’s performance and the high-octane action sequences, though some noted that the plot could have been stronger.

On Monday, OG earned ₹7.50 crore net in India, marking a 60 percent drop from its Sunday collections of ₹18.50 crore. Despite the usual mid-week dip, the film has already earned ₹147 crore net (₹168 crore gross) in India over five days. DVV Entertainment, the film’s makers, reported that the worldwide gross for the opening weekend was ₹252 crore, with Monday adding an estimated ₹13 crore more.

The film has now overtaken Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which had ended its run with ₹255 crore worldwide earlier this year. Industry analysts predict that OG may cross ₹300 crore by its second weekend, making it the first Telugu film to achieve this milestone in 2025.
