Garima Garg, the wife of late singer and actor Zubeen Garg, will hold a press conference tomorrow in connection with the chargesheet filed in the case related to his death. This will be the first time she addresses the media after the passing of the popular Assamese artist.

The press conference will be held tomorrow at Synergy Emperial at 5:30 pm. Zubeen Garg’s sister, Palmee Borthakur, will also be present during the interaction. The family is expected to speak about the latest developments in the investigation following the filing of the chargesheet.

Earlier, on December 31, Garima Garg had publicly alleged that there were serious lapses and negligence surrounding the events leading to her husband’s death. She had raised questions about the role of the organisers of the Northeast India Festival in Singapore, as well as Zubeen’s manager, pointing out what she called inconsistencies in travel and accommodation arrangements. She said she found several disturbing points after going through the chargesheet submitted by the Special Investigation Team of Assam Police.

Garima had also questioned why there appeared to be no formal agreement in place between Zubeen and the organisers of the event, and why certain tour plans were discussed without his clear knowledge. She also expressed concern over the way medical help was provided when the incident took place in Singapore, saying that someone with health concerns should never have been allowed to enter the sea without proper safety measures.

She further stated that the case should be heard in a fast-track court so that the trial does not drag on for years, as there are hundreds of witnesses involved. She also appealed for a strong legal team to handle the case, stressing that justice should not be delayed.
