Hailakandi witnessed a tense situation after an anonymous email warned of a bomb attack at the District Court complex. The email, which mentioned possible explosions and even referred to the LTTE, led to tight security and a detailed police investigation on Wednesday.

According to reports, the email claimed that three bombs would go off inside the court premises around 1:35 pm. The message also mentioned the chance of a suicide bombing. This immediately raised fear and concern, as the court complex is a busy public place where many people visit every day.

Soon after the alert, the police and district administration reached the spot. Security was strengthened in and around the court area. Entry and movement were carefully checked, and people inside the premises were monitored closely. Officers were seen carrying out inspections to make sure that the area was safe.

A special cyber cell team has started working to trace the origin of the email. Officials said they are trying to find out who sent the message and from where it was sent. Police said the matter is being treated very seriously because any threat involving public safety cannot be ignored.

During the search operation, no suspicious objects were found. There were no incidents reported inside the court campus, and the situation remained calm.
