Bihar: Tejashwi Yadav elected Leader of Opposition in State Assembly

Tejashwi Yadav, the prominent face of the Opposition Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and its projected chief ministerial candidate, has officially been elected as the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Yadav, who leads the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), will now hold a key constitutional position in the state assembly, providing oversight and holding the ruling government accountable. His election as Leader of the Opposition comes after the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, in which the Mahagathbandhan emerged as the principal opposition bloc.
