Assam Member of Parliament Gaurav Gogoi has been named among the key star campaigners of the Indian National Congress for the first phase of the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025. The young leader from Assam, known for his articulate speeches and energetic campaigning style, is expected to play an active role in reaching out to the people of Bihar as the Congress begins its political campaign in the state.
The Congress party on Sunday released the official list of 40 star campaigners for the first phase of the polls. The list includes several top leaders from across the country, showing that the party is putting its full force behind the Bihar elections. Alongside Gaurav Gogoi, prominent leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are also part of the team that will lead the campaign trail.
Party President Mallikarjun Kharge will guide the overall strategy, while senior leaders including Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Digvijaya Singh, and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu are expected to hold rallies and public meetings across various constituencies. The participation of Gaurav Gogoi from Assam highlights the Congress’s attempt to project a younger, pan-Indian leadership image and to connect with the youth and middle-class voters. 
Gaurav Gogoi, who represents Jorhat in the Lok Sabha, has been one of the most visible young faces of the Congress in Parliament. He has often spoken on issues like employment, education, and social welfare, which are likely to feature in the party’s Bihar campaign.
