A coordination meeting between the Government of Assam and the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) was held on Monday at the Conference Hall of the BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar. The meeting brought together key ministers, senior officials, and leaders from both the State Government and the BTC administration to review ongoing work and discuss ways to improve coordination on development issues in the Bodoland region.

The meeting was attended by Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, Public Health Engineering Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Transport Minister Charan Boro. From the BTC side, BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, Deputy Chief Rihon Daimary, BTC Executive Members, the Chief Secretary, and senior officers from various departments were present. Their presence indicated that the discussions were meant to be detailed and focused on practical issues on the ground.

Officials said the meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the State Government and the BTC so that development projects could move faster and people in the region could benefit without delays. The discussions were mostly around administrative coordination, fund flow, and progress of ongoing works in different sectors such as roads, drinking water, transport, finance, and rural development. Officers from both sides shared updates on projects that are currently underway and pointed out areas where more support or clarity is needed.
