Meanwhile, earthquake monitoring agencies reported an earlier quake today at 3:09 am, which registered a magnitude of 5.2. This quake occurred in Pakistan at a depth of 135 kilometers, with coordinates at latitude 36.12 N and longitude 71.51 E. Although this tremor was distant from Assam, seismologists say that such tectonic activities in the region highlight the persistent seismic activity across the broader South Asian region.
