The Manipur Police have issued a stern warning against the circulation of a viral video on social media that claims armed militants from Myanmar are moving towards Manipur. Authorities clarified that the video is completely fake and urged the public not to share it, cautioning that spreading misleading information could lead to legal consequences.

Officials noted that such videos create unnecessary fear and panic among people and disrupt public peace. “The video circulating on social media is false. Sharing it may invite legal action. We appeal to the public to verify information from official sources before forwarding or posting it,” a senior police officer said.

Manipur Police emphasized that security forces across the state, including those deployed in border areas, are on high alert. Regular search operations and area domination are being carried out in fringe and vulnerable regions across districts to maintain peace and ensure public safety.
