In a deeply emotional post shared on Facebook, the wife of late singer and music icon Zubeen Garg, who passed away in Singapore on September 19, poured her heart out as she remembered him with love, longing, and quiet pain.
In her message, she wrote as if she were speaking directly to Zubeen, calling him “Goldie,” a name that many close friends say she often used affectionately.
She began her note with words that felt like a gentle conversation between two souls still connected. “Aren’t you very busy these days? Your dream film has to be released soon… all the final-stage work needs to be reviewed. You don’t seem satisfied with the background music yet. The release plan has to be finalized,” she wrote. The post reflected how deeply she knew Zubeen’s passion for cinema and his constant drive for perfection. 
She continued, reminding him of his dreams for Assamese cinema, writing that he should take his next film to new cities so that the reach of Assamese films could grow further. “Something or the other must be improved with every film,” she added, echoing the same spirit of progress and commitment that Zubeen himself often expressed in his interviews and public talks.
“Ah… perhaps you haven’t had any rest! That’s probably why there’s been no phone call all these days. With all this running around, finding time to talk must be impossible. It’s okay, I understand everything!” she wrote.
The post also brought back memories of Zubeen’s earlier days especially the time before the release of his hit film Mission China. “And please don’t cry this time like that little boy before the release of Mission China. Don’t let anxiety overtake you again.. ‘What if I can’t meet people’s expectations?’ you worry too much!” she recalled.
Towards the end of her note, she wrote words that many said brought tears to their eyes. “I’m always here for you… ready to hold you close and comfort you. After all, any good work done with honesty and dedication will always be loved by the people. But it’s been so long since I last saw you, heard your voice, or got any news from you… I miss you terribly, Goldie! I can’t even express how each moment passes without you. I don’t even know anymore whether I exist or not.”
