The new Executive Council, led by Chief Hagrama Mohilary, includes 12 members. The council has a mix of senior, experienced leaders and fresh faces who are expected to bring energy and new ideas to the administration. Notably, two women leaders, Moon Moon Brahma and Begam Akhtara Ahmed, are part of the council, highlighting efforts to improve gender representation in the region’s governance.
District-wise representation in the council is as follows: Kokrajhar has five members, Chirang and Baksa have two members each, Udalguri has two members, and Tamulpur is represented by one member.
