Dr. DibyaJyoti Likhok, the District Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jorhat, has tendered his resignation from both his party position and primary membership, citing personal reasons. The resignation was formally submitted to Assam BJP State President, Dilip Saikia and Jorhat District President, Shantanu Pujari.
Dr. Likhok, a two-time District Vice-President and former candidate for the Jorhat Assembly constituency ticket, has previously held key positions in the ABICHI Morcha, serving as State Coordinator (IT Cell & Social Media) and State General Secretary.
Alongside Dr. Likhok, other party leaders have also resigned. Among them is Saurabh Baishya, who has served as Youth Morcha Secretary and Office Secretary in the City Division and is currently the District Co-Coordinator of “Mon Ki Baat” in Jorhat.
In his resignation letter, Dr. Likhok expressed his gratitude to the party and emphasized that his decision was driven purely by personal reasons. The letter requested immediate acceptance of his resignation, signaling a clean and decisive exit.
