Speaking to reporters, Mohilary said that the BPF would join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) only if the UPPL is excluded from the coalition. This came after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that BPF is already part of the NDA, a statement that Mohilary refuted. He said that clear political understanding must come first before any alliance discussions.

During the BPF’s policy-making committee meeting held on October 3 at the Bodoland Guest House, key priorities for the new tenure were outlined. These include issuing land pattas to the people of Bodoland, reviving 16 BTC departments and restoring full administrative powers to the council.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated Mohilary and his team, saying, “Congratulations to Hagrama Mohilary for taking oath as the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Council along with his team of EMs. I am confident that they will serve the people with zeal and fulfill Bodofa Upendranath Brahma’s dream of a Shining Bodoland. The Government of Assam will fully support the new BTC Government to fulfill the aspirations of the people.”
